It’s never too late

A note from Lorraine.

It’s never too late to start a new project or finish an old one.

So often people are afraid to learn a new skill or start a new project or even complete a project they started in the past but didn’t have the tools to finish it. The gap between where they are and actually reaching the goal just seems too big.

There have been multiple books written about how important it is to enjoy the journey instead of focusing on the destination.

There is a multitude of reasons why people don’t start doing what they love but the biggest one is a deep fear of being judged by others or even judging themselves. These fears can be paralyzingly and can be impossible to overcome without a few key things starting with surrounding yourself with people who are already doing what you love and learning what to do or not to do from them. Filling the gap with strategic mentorship and supportive coaching reminds you, YOU do not need to pursue your goals alone.

The entertainment business is unique because we inherently understand the importance of the journey. We love the collaborative experience of writing a song, recording in the studio, singing in a choir, performing on stage with a band or dancing with other dancers, or the experience of performing in an ensemble cast.

Filling the gap is never a result of HOW to do it but WHO you need to help you along the way. There are a boundless number of scenarios where collaboration is at the heart of all success stories large and small whatever they may be.

For example, we can all read about ‘how to sing’ but until you actually start singing you can’t possibly develop the skills necessary to do it in a super satisfying and fulfilling way.

I have shared this many times before but it is worth repeating, becoming proficient at anything you want requires 3 significant things 1) a strong desire to do it; 2) making sure you assign the necessary time to build the skills you need to do it at a higher level and most importantly 3) surrounding yourself with people who equally love to do what you love to do who will keep you motivated and inspired each step of the way.

So many singers who choose LVS to be their partner in their journey have taken a leap of faith to trust we can help them fill the gap from where they are to where they want to be. This is a responsibility we take seriously. We appreciate the opportunity to help singers overcome their fears of failure, fears of success, and fears of judgement.

We are here for the long game not the short so people can not only reach their goals but love each moment along the way.

So remember, it’s never too late to start whatever it is you want to do, and know LVS and our singing community are right here to do it with you.
